Serving People Experiencing Homelessness
PATH is a non-profit organization in the United States that helps those transition out of homelessness. Their mission is to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. PATH envisions a world where every person has a home. Their values include creative collaborations, strategic leadership, empowerment for all, and passionate commitment.
Diseases like COVID-19 can quickly spread at homeless shelters, where many are at high-risk of exposure due to living in close confines with many people. If exposed to the virus, residents of homeless shelters have minimal access to medical care.
The DEFEN95 team has been working on-site at PATH’s new Yale campus in Santa Ana, California, to offer no-cost, rapid COVID-19 testing and medical services to ensure safety in their housing community. We are so proud to join their family and stand with their mission by providing easy access to medical services for persons experiencing homelessness.
Places of Worship
Places of worship are a safe-haven for many people, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most churches, temples, and synagogues were closed to their congregants. Providing rapid, no-cost COVID-19 testing has allowed these places of worship to safely open their doors again for their respective communities.
