PPE For Coronavirus

Benefits of Ordering Wholesale

Nowadays, you can purchase just about anything online and have it delivered straight to your door. The only downfall here could be ensuring the quality of the goods and making sure the package gets delivered on time. Since COVID-19, there were many shipment delays and most people were scared to leave their homes, so e-commerce and online shopping soared.

Thousands of people also began ordering face masks to their homes or places of business. While it may not be super important or beneficial to order face masks in bulk for yourself or family, there are many benefits for companies, hospitals, or other businesses to order PPE online.

On top of all of this, the COVID-19 pandemic left the United States in an extreme shortage of PPE for our frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential workers. The entire country was not prepared to handle a global outbreak.

Benefits of Purchasing Wholesale PPE

When most people think of wholesale, they think of a large shipment of products for discounted rates. While that is true, there are many more benefits of ordering in bulk, and the minimum order requirement is often lower than you think!

Here are some of the benefits when you order wholesale PPE from DEFEN95:

  • Be prepared and readily equipped to handle the worst
  • Receive discounted competitive pricing
  • Larger variety of products
  • Personal and customized service

NEW California Law Requires Hospitals to Stockpile COVID-19 PPE

New York and California suffered the worst during the pandemic. New York was paying 6x the standard price for N95 face masks. While California secured a better rate at just over 3x the pre-pandemic price, the masks were delayed and arrived almost 4 months later – leaving healthcare workers in California in even worse working conditions. This PPE shortage was estimated to have caused 20,000 coronavirus infections among healthcare workers in California alone.

This new California law, AB 2537, was sponsored by the California Nurses Association and states that hospitals must have at least a 3-month supply of face masks, isolation gowns, nitrile gloves, and other PPE. If hospitals don’t comply, they risk a fine of $25,000 in violations.

By staying prepared and having a readily available stockpile of PPE, hospitals would be paying 17% less by avoiding inflated pandemic prices. Maintaining the large stockpile would also be less expensive than purchasing as needed and in real time, even if there is no need for more until 35 years later.
